MARITIME MISSIONS
TRAINING

EVERY NATION.
EVERY ISLAND.
EVERY PERSON.

WHY MARITIME MISSIONS?

YWAM Ships Ministries has been in existence since the 70s as YWAM’s outreach expression; YWAM Singapore was established in 1973 with the vision of having a ships ministry to serve the nations around us. In 2013 we had the opportunity to run a medical boat in Indonesia, which lasted 6 years. This developed into a vision to reach the isolated islands of South East Asia through healthcare, education, and ultimately, the love of Jesus.

Right now, there are thousands of islands scattered throughout the region without airports, regular ferry services, roads, or bridges. They lack access to basic things like drinkable water, shelter, education, and healthcare. Many have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Maritime Missions aims to provide faith-based training to equip student missionaries to go and serve these remote islands and river networks, by partnering YWAM-operated vessels in the region.
